Pre-teen through college-age volunteers serve as assistants, demonstrators, mentors, and most importantly, friends in the class.

ArtisticallyAbled is an inclusive visiting-arts program run by three sisters who are passionate about bringing the visual arts to ALL. We’ve drawn from our diverse training in the arts and special education to design a creative experience that is stimulating and fulfilling for students of all backgrounds and abilities. We paint! We draw! We sculpt! We craft! But most importantly, we strive to cultivate a program that focuses on process over product and self-expression over technical expertise so that EVERY student is inspired, excited, and empowered to discover their artistic voice. Art for all, all for art!

Fall Program: Artful Motion! There’s no standing still at an easel in this class … our Artful Motion program is all about creating while on the move! Students will experience yoga painting, flip-flop stomp art, ribbon-dance creations, and more in this unique class. Come get creative with us!

Therapeutic individual sessions will be scheduled based on availability.

Mindful Sensations Therapy is a therapeutic approach that combines the principles of sensory integration with the tools of yoga and mindfulness meditation to meet the needs of children.  Anxiety and overwhelm is not just an adult phenomenon.  More and more children are being hijacked by stress and this is inhibiting their growth and development.  This is especially true for children with special needs such as ADHD, Autism, learning disabilities and sensory processing disorder.

Classes will combine fun movement, mindfulness and heart-centered practices to promote empathy and compassion toward the self and others.  Classes are appropriate for both children with special needs and neurotypical children.

Private therapy for children with special needs who need a more personalized approach -can be in either individual sessions or in a dyad if there are suitable peers.  When appropriate to the child, the sensory-based equipment will be utilized within the 1Gym4All space and then sessions will end with a mat based practice in the separate yoga/ dance room space.  Insurance coverage may be available if the child has occupational therapy coverage as part of their plan.

Mindful movement class for parents of children with special needs- This class will be offered on a periodic basis.   Parenting a child with special needs is daunting but there are ways to help take care of both yourself and your child that can soften the journey.
